Cain and Abel, Plus the Rest of the Story in Genesis 4

In this review we look at the events of Genesis Chapter 4. We explore Cain and Abel’s attitudes, with insights on their motivations and outcomes. We analyse the first act of human violence (a tragic murder), then look at the consequences of the choices made by Cain and his descendants as the development of cities takes hold. Simultaneously, we trace the parallel development of a “remnant” through Seth, which offers hope and the lineage of the Messiah. 

Above all this, we see God’s mercy, grace and overruling of evil as He continues His work of redemption.
